It is sometimes necessary to install the Biocycle system before building is concluded, particularly if the completed house will not allow physical access to the preferred location on your site. In these cases, some time will elapse between installation and commissioning of the system.

Normal Biocycle installation leaves the system ready for automatic commissioning.

The Biocycle system is a completely natural process, so time must be allowed for the beneficial bacteria cultures to form. This will generally take up to four weeks, during which time there may occasionally be some odours.

Maintenance for the first year (2 six-monthly services) is provided free. Six-monthly maintenance thereafter costs approximately $60 to $90 +GST per service visit.

Trained and authorised Biocycle personnel and installers will undertake servicing.

Our fifteen-year warranty is only applicable if this servicing regime is adhered to.

The frequency of service visits (and the price charged) may differ depending on the council region you are living or building. In 90% of the regions serviced by Biocyle, the prices listed above are applicable.

Biocycle guarantees to repair or replace any part of the system requiring repair or replacement due to defective manufacture, provided Biocycle is given notice of the problem within 24 hours of the customer being aware of the problem (the alarm being set off).

The Biocycle system is guaranteed for fifteen years from the date of the agreement, except for defects in the mechanical/electrical components and irrigation points. These parts are guaranteed for two years or the earlier of either commissioning date or 3 months from the date of installation.

Biocycle first gained approval in New South Wales in 1985. There are now approximately 20,000 domestic Biocycle systems in operation around the world.

Approvals have been gained in New Zealand from all 14 Regional Councils or unitary authorities where systems are now installed and operating. Councils see the installation of a Biocycle system as a preferred method of waste management.
